Wir freuen uns, in Zusammenarbeit mit Kunst und Kultur 2025 e.V., Arbeiten des in Jerusalem ansässigen Verlagskollektivs Bookieman vorstellen zu können.
Verlags- und Buchpräsentation: Am Freitag, den 17. Februar um 19.30 Uhr stellt Bookieman – in Anwesenheit der beteiligten Künstlerinnen – sich und sein Buchprojekt „Childhood Memories“ bei uns im Laden vor.
Am Samstag, den 18. Februar gibt es in dem Räumen von Kunst und Kultur e.V. 2025 (Ruhrstr. 88) eine Präsentation und Filmvorführungvon Nino Biniashvilli unter dem Titel „CALCULATING THE PRICE OF EXIL“ sowie die Ausstellung von Originalzeichnungen aus „CHILDHOOD MEMORIES“.
Alle Veranstaltungen finden in englischer Sprache statt, Übersetzungshilfe wird gerne angeboten.
About Childhood Memories:
Childhood Memories is a collaborative book project by five female illustrators, from Israel, Portugal, and Sweden. The main focus of the project is to create a visual and textual narrative based on each illustrator’s autobiography, in which she dealt with and confronted her perceptions of her own childhood memories, how they were constructed, and what emotions they arise in the present day. Beyond the general framing and the technical format, the illustrators were given no directions or restrictions. The book will include a preface/overture by Israeli playwright, Nano Shabtai.

Bookieman is an independent publishing house, founded (in Stockholm – 2009, currently located in Jerusalem) by Nino Biniashvili and Omri Grinberg. Bookieman’s focus is limited editions of artist books, with an emphasis on collaborations between writers, poets, illustrators, photographers and designers. The top priority is evoking a focus on poetic, critical and thorough content.
